Your Number Stays Private: How Society Kart Protects Customers, Shops and Riders
In a housing society the rider may live a few streets away. That is why Society Kart never shares phone numbers and confirms every delivery with a private code. Here is how both protections work.

Delivery apps bring strangers to your door. In a housing society, those "strangers" are often neighbours — the rider may live in the next sector, the shopkeeper in the main market. That closeness is a strength, but it also makes privacy more important, not less.
Society Kart was designed with two protections built into every order:
1. Your phone number is never shared. 2. Every delivery is confirmed with a private code.
This article explains how both work.
Protection 1: phone numbers stay private
What is private?
- Customers never see the phone number of the shop or rider.
- Shops and riders never see the customer's phone number.
- Car vendors and customers don't see each other's numbers either.
How do you talk, then?
Every order has:
- In-app chat — text messages, photos and screenshots linked to that order.
- Free in-app calls — voice calls over the internet that connect only the people on that order. They end when the order is finished.
You can say "I'm at gate 2" or "please don't ring the bell, the baby is asleep" without ever giving out your number.

What if someone types a number in chat?
Phone numbers typed into chats — in any format — are blocked automatically. The same applies to sponsored ads and classified listings. This keeps contact on the platform, where the order records protect everyone if there is a problem.
What happens to voice notes?
Voice notes in order chats are deleted when the order is finished. There is no reason to keep recordings of your voice after your groceries have arrived.
Why this matters
- Families and women can order without a rider or shop having their personal number.
- Riders and shop owners are protected from late-night personal calls and messages.
- Disputes are fair, because conversations about an order stay with that order.
Protection 2: the delivery confirmation code
How it works
1. When you place an order, the app shows you a private 4-digit delivery code. 2. When the rider arrives and you have the order in your hands, you tell the rider the code. 3. The rider enters it in the app. Only the correct code completes the delivery — the server checks it.
Why it matters
- The order can only be marked delivered when it really reaches the right person.
- A rider cannot complete a delivery without meeting the customer.
- If there is any dispute later, the confirmation is on record.
Keep your code safe
- Never share the code in chat or before the order is in your hands.
- Never share it with anyone else — not even someone claiming to be from Society Kart.
- If someone else receives the order for you, give them the code.

More protections
- Fingerprint / Face ID — lock the app on your phone.
- Verified partners — every shop, rider and car vendor is checked before going live.
- Payment checks — riders confirm JazzCash/Easypaisa payments in their wallet before handing over.
- Secure sign-in — email codes, Google or Facebook. Society Kart never asks for your password or OTP in chat.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal data.
- We don't show your number to shops, riders or vendors.
- We don't keep order voice notes after the order is finished.

Frequently asked questions
Can I call the rider directly?
Yes — use the free in-app call from the order. Your number stays private.
What if the rider asks for my number?
Please don't share it. Use in-app chat or call, and report it through Help & Support if it happens.
What if I lose the delivery code?
It is always visible in your order in the app.
Do in-app calls cost money?
They use your internet connection, like any internet call. Society Kart does not charge for them.
