Delete your account

You can ask Society Kart to delete your account and personal data at any time. This page explains how, what is deleted and what we must keep. It applies to customers, shops, riders and other partners using the Society Kart app.

How to request deletion

In the app

• Open Society Kart and go to Account → Help & Support.
• Choose Talk to a person and send: "Please delete my account".

Without the app

• Email support@getsocietykart.com from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account", or
• use the contact form at getsocietykart.com/contact.

We may ask you to confirm the request from your account email, so that nobody else can delete your account.

What happens next

• We confirm your request within 2 working days.
• Your account is closed straight away after confirmation, and you are signed out on all devices.
• Your personal data is deleted within 30 days.
• Shops and riders must first clear any unpaid dues and finish open orders.

What we delete

• Your name, email, phone number and profile photo
• Saved addresses and map pins
• Sign-in sessions and push-notification tokens
• AI Assistant chats, order chats and voice notes
• Shop or rider verification documents
• Reviews and classified ads you posted (or they are made anonymous)

What we keep, and for how long

Some records must be kept by law or to settle disputes. They are kept separately, only for as long as needed, and are not used for anything else:

• Order, payment and invoice records: up to 5 years, for tax and accounting
• Records of a dispute, refund or fraud investigation: until it is resolved and up to 1 year after

Our backups are overwritten on a rolling basis, so deleted data also disappears from backups within 30 days.

Delete only some data

You can also ask us to delete only some data, for example your AI Assistant chats or a saved address, without closing your account. Many of these you can delete yourself in the app.
